- Creative ConnectionsCreative Connections facilitates classroom-to-classroom exchanges through video conferencing and art exchange.
- ePals Global CommunityePals allows teachers and students to connect with other classrooms or projects. Classrooms come together in a learning exchange through e-mail, blogs, or forums. There is also a translation service so that classrooms from different countries can work together. Project topic areas include global warming, habitats, maps, natural disasters, and water.
- iEARN
Through iEARN, (International Education and Resource Network), teachers and students work with other schools and organizations worldwide to collaborate on a variety of educational projects. These include everything from written anthologies of creative writing, to researching of students’ own backgrounds, to fighting child labor across borders. - Global SchoolNetGlobal SchoolNet’s goal is to foster 21st century learning through internet-based collaboration. Teachers can find collaborative tools, resources, and various interactive programs for students. They can browse through current projects; find teachers and classrooms to work with; and learn about and engage in project-based learning initiatives.
- Global Voices Global Voices is an online community of over 200 bloggers that collaborate and report on blogs from all over the world. This organization provides a unique resource for learning about current events from sources other than the traditional U.S. newspapers or magazines.
- One World Youth ProjectThis organization pairs middle and high school student groups from around the world and assigns them a UN Millennium Development Goal on which to focus. At the end of their collaboration, each group creates a local service project.
- NRDC- Natural Resources Defense Council offers information on climate change and the environment.
- PBS Learningmedia: Global Learning and Awareness, has lots of resources for teaching global issues.
